These days, I serve as Department Chair of Practical Ministry at Highlands College, where I help form the next generation of ministry leaders. It it both humbling and fun at the same time. I spent seven years on the team at Church of the Highlands before moving into my current role. I love that place and call it home. Before any of that, I spent years as a commercial and music video producer. I’ve done a few movies too, some of which are really bad.

Stories have always been the thread. They offer fresh perspective. They introduce us to new ways of thinking, new worlds, new characters. The best stories are the ones we identify with because we see ourselves in them. My hope is that happens here.

Why another blog? I asked myself that. The answer came in a quote I keep coming back to:

“Everything that needs to be said has already been said. But, since no one was listening, everything must be said again.”— André Gide

So here I am, saying it again. Writing about scripture, culture, and what it means to pay attention. Trying to lead people into new ways of seeing through truth, wonder, and meaningful experience so that they come alive and live with sincerity and conviction.

If you want to get to know me, my annual Top 100 is a pretty good snapshot.
